    • What adjustments, if any, were made based on feedback from Fall 2015 interim assessments? Thank you for providing feedback through the Assessment Leads, Site Administration, Coaches, and Program Specialists. Most grades administered an ELA performance task in addition to a shorter block assessment during the Fall 2015 interims. Based on feedback, all performance tasks will be optional for Winter 2016. As a district, we want to ensure the interim assessments are a meaningful tool for improving teaching and learning. As such, we will work to incorporate the review and reflection on the remaining performance tasks into the ongoing professional development of teachers. That said, we encourage all site grade-level teams to view the performance task in the Interim Assessment Viewing system, identify the skills/concepts/knowledge required for success on this task, and reflect on how ongoing classroom instruction can support student success on this type of assessment.
    • Will teachers continue to convene each year to reflect on pacing/assessments and make adjustments for the following year? Yes, following past practice, we will continue to convene teacher teams from each grade level and content area to review current pacing and assessments, and make meaningful adjustments as necessary. These dates are scheduled, with subs reserved, for May 2016, allowing time for any revisions for 2016-2017 to be ready and posted by June 2016.
    • How do I contribute my feedback if I am not on these teams of teachers? Please use the link at the bottom of this page to submit your feedback throughout the year. The teacher teams will use this feedback in their revision process in May 2016.

    • Dissagregated reports by site and district (subgroups only reported with 10 or more in sample; therefore, most sites/levels do not report foster youth due to low enrollment)

    Feedback:

    • Following past practice from the past four years, we bring teachers together in Spring 2016 to reflect on and revise the current Instructional Maps, Interim Blueprints, and make adjustments to the current RUSD assessment system. The goal is to ensure local assessments are a meaningful tool to improve teaching and learning. Part of this revision process will include reviewing survey feedback from teachers. This has been an effective way to include a broad representation of RUSD teacher voices in the past. Click here to provide your feedback.
